TTSMate Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 4, 2026

TTSMate is a text-to-speech application for macOS. This Privacy Policy explains how TTSMate handles information when you use the app.

When you use a local speech engine, including Apple TTS, Qwen3-TTS, MOSS-TTS, or Kokoro TTS, the text, generated audio, dictionaries, voice settings, and project data are processed or stored locally on your Mac. TTSMate does not upload this content to the developer’s servers.

The app accesses only files and folders you select or authorize through macOS. Generated audio remains on your device at the location you choose until you delete it.

Azure Text to Speech is an optional cloud engine. If you select Azure TTS, the text or SSML you submit for synthesis is sent directly to Microsoft Azure Speech Services using the Azure credentials and region you provide. Microsoft processes that content to generate speech under the terms and privacy policy applicable to your Azure account.

TTSMate does not send your Azure key to the developer. The key and region you enter are stored using the macOS Keychain. For information about Microsoft’s data practices, see the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

TTSMate does not require an account and does not use advertising SDKs or cross-app tracking. The developer does not collect your synthesis text, generated audio, Azure credentials, or payment-card information.

If you voluntarily contact support or submit feedback, the developer receives the information you choose to provide. A feedback submission may also include technical information shown to you by the app, such as the app version and basic system information, to help diagnose the issue. Do not include confidential or sensitive content in feedback.

In-app purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit and the App Store. Apple handles billing and payment information. TTSMate receives transaction and entitlement information needed to unlock purchased features. Apple’s handling of information is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy.

When you choose to download a local AI model, TTSMate may connect to third-party model or software hosting services. These providers may receive standard connection information, including your IP address and request metadata, under their own privacy policies. Your synthesis text and generated audio are not sent as part of a model download.

When you open a help, privacy, license, App Store, or subscription-management link, your browser connects to the relevant website. That website handles connection data under its own privacy policy.

The developer does not sell your personal information. Information is shared only when you choose a cloud speech engine, initiate a feature that uses Apple or an external service, request support, or when disclosure is required by law.

TTSMate settings, credentials, dictionaries, generated audio, and project data remain locally on your device or in the macOS Keychain. You can remove them using the app, Finder, or Keychain Access. Information sent voluntarily for support is retained only as long as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain support records, and meet legal obligations.

TTSMate is not directed to children, and the developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

This policy may be updated when TTSMate’s features or legal obligations change. The current version and its effective date will be published on this page.
